EPA Moves To Enact Trump Order

On March 28, the Trump Administration released its Executive Order: Promoting Energy Independence and Economic Growth.  Part of the EO called for the Administration to review its rule related to methane emissions from new and modified sources.

EPA Administrator Pruitt has acted rapidly to implement the Executive Order filing the intention of the EPA to review the rule in the federal register today April 4, 2017).  See below for the Federal Register filing and link:

SUMMARY: The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announces it is reviewing the 2016 Oil and Gas New Source Performance Standards and, if appropriate, will initiate reconsideration proceedings to suspend, revise or rescind this rule.
