Join us Wed. February 15 for the MI Crude Oil and Natural Gas Legislative Education Day!
As an industry, we have a powerful message as evidenced by the research contained in our recently commissioned economic impact study (Michigan's Oil and Natural Gas Industry: Economic Contribution) The Legislative Education Day launch this past May was an important step in working to re-frame our industry at the administrative and legislative level and to take control of the story that is told about us.
On February 15th we will continue to tell the positive story of our Economic Contribution Study on a county-by-county basis. Meetings will be scheduled for you in advance and you will be part of a team that will visit legislators from throughout the state.
The November elections brought change, both to our nation’s capital and Michigan. The Michigan House of Representatives welcomes 43 new members this year. This is an important opportunity to lend your voices to the support and protection of the jobs and businesses that help shape Michigan’s home state energy production.
Over 90 meetings with legislative offices have already been scheduled! REGISTER NOW so MOGA staff can get your meeting schedule to you prior to the event.
Never been to a legislative meeting? Not a Problem! You will receive the materials and training you need to feel comfortable to speak with your legislators. On Thursday Feb. 9th at 10:30am we will also be hosting a Pre-Legislative Day Webinar (Register Now!). Jeff Guilfoyle of Public Sector Consultants will break down the Economic Impact Study in this live webinar, designed to prepare attendees for the following weeks legislative meetings.
