New EGLE video digs into Michigan's geology

Michigan's diverse and fascinating geology is the topic of a new MI EnviroMinute video produced by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE). Michigan's geology features all three types of rock: sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic. Not only is Michigan's geology fascinating, it's also important to the state's economy. Jason Stilger, geologist, explains that the geologists of EGLE's Oil, Gas, and Minerals Division ensure responsible development of Michigan's mineral resources, while protecting the environment, property rights, public health and safety.
