For the second straight year, NuEnergy stepped up as a major supporter of the ColorTour 5K in Gaylord and the end result was more than $12,000 raised for the American Cancer Society in Otsego County.
The event featured 470 participants along with more than 100 volunteers. While the event wasn't a timed race, Onaway's Joe Traynham finished first followed by Johannesburg's Natasha Campbell.
Prizes were also awarded for fund-raising efforts with Jami Moore (first) and Trina Webber (second) taking top honors for the most funds raised. THe Mighty Misfitz took the top spot for the most funds raised by a group.
In the best-dressed competition, Kristen Neff and Peyton Corbin earned first place for the women while Bob MacDonald and Jimmy Gerhardt took top honors for men. The best-dressed Color Tour group honors went to Team Wendy.
All of NuEnergy's employees participated in the event.
