Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder recently signed the Capital Outlay Supplemental that authorized the appropriations for Natural Resources Trust Fund projects approved by the Board in 2015. PA 61 (HB 5377) includes $19.9 million for acquisition grants and $8 million for development grants.
The Natural Resources Trust Fund is funded through the successful development of oil and gas on state lands, creating a unique and beneficial partnership where resource extraction provides consistent funding for permanent natural resource and recreation projects across the state of Michigan.
