Kal-Haven Heritage Trail Unveils 31 New Exhibit Signs with Ribbon Cuttings


On Saturday, August 3rd, The Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will be hosting a celebration for the installation of 31 exhibit signs along the Kal-Haven State Park trail with two ribbon cutting ceremonies. 

The first will take place at 10:00 a.m. at the Kal-Haven trail head on 10th Street, north of H Avenue in Oshtemo Township (near Kalamazoo) and the second at 1:00p.m. in South Haven at the trail head, located near the intersection of E Wells St. and Bailey Ave.

The public is encouraged to attend one or both and discover the areas unique history through the new signs developed by the Michigan History Center in partnership with the Parks and Recreation Division of the Department of Natural Resources.
