Education Endowment
The Michigan Oil And Gas Association has long held public education as one of its most important responsibilities. Starting under the banner of the Michigan Oil and Gas Producers Education Foundation (MOGPEF), a permanent Education Endowment Fund was created to do just that, with a specific mission of:
Supporting the long-term, ongoing commitment to educate the citizens of Michigan about the importance of the oil and gas industry and about the environmental safeguards the industry employs.
MOGPEF was merged with the Michigan Oil And Gas Association in 2015 to promote a more centralized focus on the industry’s education mission, but the Education Endowment remains in-tact, with the same mission. By Resolution of the MOGA Board of Directors, the funds from the Education Endowment will be maintained and grown for the express purpose of helping meet the long-term and ongoing commitment of our industry to public education.
